An investigation into landscapes of efficiency. The Wirral peninsula is divided into strips of concentrated programme. The production line moves from west to east. Raw materials delivered by ship at the Dee estuary are processed across the peninsular, finished products are loaded for export at the mouth of the Mersey. A network of raised highways, tunnels and ship canals connect the different programmes allowing the processes to linkup.
