Our latest work is live for Birchbox, a platform for discovering new beauty, grooming, and lifestyle products. As an e-commerce leader of the tech-beauty space, Birchbox has quickly expanded over the last three years and has grown a loyal, connected community by introducing discovery, fun, and authenticity as a part of online shopping.
Following the tremendous success of Birchbox’s subscription box, founders Katia Beauchamp and Hayley Barna quickly realized there was huge potential to expand the innovative business beyond women’s beauty into men’s grooming, housewares, and a vast range of products beyond. Given this immediate plan for growth, Birchbox approached Red Antler to help scale and position the brand to reflect a wider focus. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity to work together.
For the rebrand, our team set out to create an overarching brand experience for Birchbox that stayed true to its fun and whimsical personality, and strategically positioned it as a global leader in the next era of e-commerce. The resulting brand identity introduces an updated logo and brand mark that are strongly recognizable, yet adaptable for a variety of applications. Additionally, we used bright pops of color to set apart playful icons and textured graphic patterns in support of the brand’s energetic personality. All elements are finished with refined messaging, clean typefaces, and crisp photography across brand applications from website to packaging.
