The first logo design received some negative feedbacks from customers. Feedbacks such as the logo looks like a Darth Vader's helmet (as you can also see below in the comments section). So I set out to re-design my own design. Below the original logo design you will find new sketches along with the new logo including the mark.
Icons/pictograms speak a universal language, so with this mark I wanted to show the name of the company within the design. The bell obviously stands for Bell and the cross evokes Pharmacy. The lose lower square of the cross also forms the stem within the bell which creates the ring. The viewer is forced to complete the missing cross bar in the figure/ground which is a Gestalt principle, this makes the logo more memorable. I also noticed a vast saturation of pharmacy logos which almost all use the colors blue and red. The green with the gray help the company stand out more in such a competitive field.
Below you will also see the different concepts I had explored before finally settling on the chosen logo.
