Ashley Christensen takes fried chicken seriously. Always with honey. Paired with a rosé. For Beasley's Chicken + Honey, her second shop, I established a strong typographic identity rooted in woodcut type pulling from her southern heritage but in a contemporary context.

All applications of the brand are handcrafted. Door signage is painted with 1-Shot Sign Painters Enamel. Exterior signage wraps twenty feet long, painted directly on the bricks. Business cards are letter pressed on double thick chip board (looks great with honey and grease stains). The only menu in the place is a twenty two foot long installation on an entirely chalkboard wall. Bathroom signs, I carved by hand out of walnut. In 30 years the entire place will have aged with grace. No cracked vinyl here.
