The senior design thesis at Arizona State University is based on social issues. Each student chooses a social issue, and conducts research on that issue by the end of their fall semester. In the spring, the class designs posters to promote the spring exhibition.
I wanted to design a poster that would capture viewer interest, and encourage participation. The three dimensional form of the poster was chosen because it not only was unconventional and striking, but it also encapsulated the idea of the poster, which was to show many parts becoming one message. Each student has a distinguishable voice from their peers, but they also are a part of one class.
The poster can be viewed from multiple angles, just as social issues can be very complex and seen from different vantage points.
