Branding, Logo Design, Print, Web
Basics Bank project is part of Edinburgh City Mission program of care, which provides food supply, temporary accommodation and spiritual support to struggling individuals. The organisation was started in mid 19th Century by David Naismith in order to distribute his wealth in a useful and compassionate way by giving away food for the most needy in cities like London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The project was in need of a completely new and fresh look in order to connect with new audiences and communicate what help and care mean in the 21st Century.
With this in mind, we created a new logo which not only embraces the core values of Basics Bank, but also is versatile and instantly recognisable when applied to different mediums. Being a symbol of wellbeing, life and hope, green was chosen as the main colour for the brand identity, while a fresh and clean new website was designed to convey an emotionally stimulating message and appeal to different age groups.
