This series of photos was taken during a trip to the Catalunya region of Spain, specifically Barcelona city. I was struck by the sheer contrasts all over town, from the architecture to the people to the food. And art was everywhere. Graffiti street art would be placed right next to a centuries-old engraving in the side of a building. A Joy Division 'Unknown Pleasures' album cover graces the folding door of a shop. Space Invaders can be found hiding on the corners of buildings. Meanwhile, there is the history of Gaudi and the Sagrada Familia. It was a beautiful place, and I hope these pictures manage to do those contrasts justice.
