A package redesign of the well-known BAND-AID box. Goals for this redesign were to allow the user to open the package with one hand, to reduce the amount of packaging materials, to simplify surface graphics and to have clear labeling on the individual Band-Aid wrappers. A color coding system has been added to assist customers find the type of bandage that they need. The material for the containing box was cut in half from the existing on-shelf items. The wrapping for individual bandages was trimmed to fit more snug; allowing a tighter, side-by-side fit inside of the box. Once pressed on, the protrusion on the back of the package forces the top to open; allowing the customer to open the package with one hand.
