Through a certain dose of fantasy, I wanted to show the past of this region as I imagined it hearing their stories.

They are the last generation who led this innocent hard working life.
My grandfather also led the fanfare orchestra in our hometown Banatsko Novo Selo.
This means that he and his orchestra played at every festival in the region but also at every funeral that happened in our town or nearby.
Even if he and my grandmother were on the field working and there needed to be an urgent funeral, he would hop on his tractor and went strait to get his trumpet leaving my grandmother behind. He would pick her up after.
This last foto is a collage I did for fun when I was still in school. I took pictures of my grannies and other grannies from the small town of Ovca, Serbia. I didn't know better so I posed it on Facebook. It was taken by someone and has been used on sites as 9GAG and similar all over the world. In a way it became viral and I only found out about it 2 years ago. It was never meant to be use in making fun of these awesome grannies, but some people took advantage.
