For the logo, I chose Aperto as the typeface because it has characteristics similar to bamboo. I integrated bamboo leaves into the type to appear as if they were growing from the curves and slight serif in the lowercase “b.” I wanted to create an organic layout that felt natural and organized, so I started with a photo that I took of a loosely coiled garden hose. Then, drew guidelines over each length of hose. I began to eliminate and move the lines to create 3 unique compositions. These compositions were used as a structure for the photography and color. I then added vertical columns to structure the text.
