It is sophisticated because it reaches a very sophisticated sense in it's performance and because in it's history it was performed at the beginning for the kings only then for the important people in the country.

Classic Ballet: The oldest style of ballet which is tradition depends on some steps (7 steps) which control all the ballet performance.
Neo-classic Ballet: It is some what free from the tradition of classic ballet ... it has some creativity in a new way in performance.
Contemporary Ballet: It is the newest style of ballet ... which is connected to many other dances which called Ballet arts like ( Tap - Jazz - Hip Hop - Modern dance .... Pilates - Yoga )
Romantic Ballet: It is a romantic ballet performance which contains the hero ( Female), the secondary hero ( Male ) and a lot of female ballerinas (The help to show the hero) ....
