Bald Eagles

That's mom on the right. You can just barely see dad hunkered down in the nest on the lower left, apparently brushing up on his incubating skills. There were no eggs in the nest at the time.
Looking a bit ruffled but drying out in the sun after an apparent dip in the river.
Just posing.
- The following series of images highlights the development of two baby bald eagles born (hatched) April 1, 2011 in the Hudson Valley of New York. For 12 weeks the eaglets grew and developed, and finally flew for the first time on June 25. These images document their pre- and post-fledging adventures. Their parents are included here, obviously the ones with white heads and tails, which the babies will not develop until 4 years old.
