Backwater Resolution is an exhibition of paintings and digital stillsby Alex Fischer. The entire body of work is articulated around therelationship between contemporary art and urban-identity situations.Fischer’s images draw on numerous visual and conceptual references toachieve an accumulative perspective on the benefits of digitallydeveloped and expanded paintings. Connections between the media areestablished to banish the differences between them. Fischer confrontsthese two modes of image production through similar aesthetics in orderto open a field of perception located at the border of each medium.
