Baby Unverse Rebranding

  • Working off of branding and design concepts from Liquid was an interesting challenge as an in-house designer. I had to take their concepts and make them work for the web. This project included redesigning the home, brand and category pages and creating a new Safety Center section (over 20 pages!). 

  • Homepage - Retail websites are notorious for having a lot of promotions. We tried to create as many unique selling points as possible without overwhelming the viewer. We did this by creating a hierarchy to the site that made each section have a distinct theme. 
  • Safety Center Blog - This was a new site to Baby Universe, where the goal was to have the website become a resource for new mothers beyond just purchasing supplies and accessories. I created a new symbol for the Safety center (the heart with feet inside) to represent the articles throughout the website. 
  • Newsletter - The goal of the newsletter was always to feature certain news and promotions with our customers. The layout always featured 1 dominant item and could be scaled to feature up to 3 additional sections. It was important to us never to overload the reader with too much information that could confuse the message.
