My son and his roommates were recently robbed of their guitars, computers, cameras, etc., and they had no insurance (dang kids!) so, with the help of their friends who are in various local bands, they are putting on a benefit night to raise some cash to replace their stuff - especially the travel fund of one roommate who lost the cash she had saved to go to Africa to do volunteer work. They are also collecting food for the Food Bank and it should be a fun night with a positive community vibe all around. I helped by doing this quick vector piece for posters, etc. (over a very rough pencil sketch). It's not my usual style, obviously, but it was fun and it went SO much faster that I'm thinking of using this technique more often.
