The Buku Music+Art Project teamed up with Creative Allies and held a design competition for its upcoming 2013 music festival in New Orelans.
The illustration was inspired by the fusion of music and art. Imagine an awesome visual art, hold that image in your brain and then close your eyes. Then, an eargasm music soothing your auditory sense. Freeze that moment. It's the metamorphosis of music and art. The colors was inspired by mardi gras tones and the elemental water of new orleans' culture. The line style was inspired by the BUKU video to make the theme holistic in terms of design.
The illustration was chosen the winner among numerous designs submitted.
