ABOUT THE PROJECT:
BRUNO – The World of Design
BRUNO Magazine / Magasinet BRUNO is Sweden's newest quarterly magazine about Art, Architecture, Fashion and Design. In collaboration with the Staff at BRUNO Publishing, Morris Pinewood Stockholm developed the full brand; editorial design, logos, brand identity, online marketing, online content design, social media design and collaterals. The foundation of the design comes from classic 1950's, content based magazines such as LIFE, Esquire and The New Yorker. MPS then added ideas about readability, contemporary image styling, classic book design and a good pinch of avant garde. The typefaces used in the magazine are even them a juxtaposition of the new and the old; the classical Baskerville MT and the newly designed Tungsten (Hoefler & Frere-Jones). The result is a magazine that focuses on its main task – to tell a story. Every page in BRUNO should be treated as a dramaturgical instrument, with one basic goal – to arouse curiosity.
