THE BRIGHTON BEACH PROJECT:
The vast diversity of New York has lead Paul Aresu to the tight knit community of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
This flourishing community of Russian and former Soviet immigrants, has been his subject matter.

To be let into their community, and to have a glimpse of their lifestyle through the
 still image has proven to be more rewarding than when he set out to start this project.
During the Brighton Beach project, Aresu discovered the framework for
his book, centered on the variety of cultural niches that embody the spirit of New York.  New York- The Big City and Its Little Neighborhoods
