The initial idea for Remark began with the brand book, which was designed Fall of 2011. At that time I began research for my degree project. As I continued to mold the concept for the brand, the essence of Remark developed into what I displayed for the BFA Graphic Design Exhibition. The core values have stayed the same.
Communication experts recommend that effective communication should include not only auditory and kinesthetic language, but the visual as well.
Building on this concept, Remark intends to visually encourage communication and promote positive relationships within the home. By placing meaningful words and phrases on everyday home decor products, suggestions for effective communication are brought to the forefront in a bold way. In addition to the products, the packaging also encourages families to communicate. With the hope of initiating and continuing effective communication, Remark is dedicated to getting conversations started. Breathing life into your home and family relationships, Remark aims to revamp, remind, and revitalize.
