Theatrical keyart for Christophe Honoré's BELOVED (Les Bien-Aimés) and promotional flyer (below) for the film release. Starring Catherine Deneuve, Ludivine Sagnier, Louis Garrel and Chiara Mastroianni.

 

The cream area of the artwork (housing the title and credits) was arranged to give a visual cue to the point of a womans shoe which is a running theme throughout the film, and also less obviously, the centre cuts (from top left through to the bottom right - red and cream) to mimic a light beam created by a stage spotlight to bring in the theatricality of the film being a musical of sorts and a reference to the 'Ici Londres' number.
