In 2009, BCBSNC completed construction of our first ecologically friendly office building. Built with sustainable materials, the building uses 65% less energy and 50% less water than the typical office building. It also features humane design for a working environment with cleaner air, more natural light and judicious use of water. The brochure, available to visitors, describes the building’s features. The posters are displayed throughout the building.
