Balsamo

Year: 2008 // Client: Acetificio A. Balsamo
Tasks: Restyling, Packaging

Acetificio Balsamo is a company with a long history in vinegar production. I had the opportunity to contribute to its revitalization through a complete logo redesign and a reimagining of the visual identity, as well as creating new labels for their vinegar bottles.

The initial challenge was to maintain a connection with the company's past, so I worked on the old company logo to create a new design inspired by it without altering its essence.
The result is a logo that reconnects with the tradition of Acetificio Balsamo, but with a modern touch. I carefully chose typography that conveyed a sense of elegance and sophistication for the corporate image, reflecting the high quality of the company's products.
In the process of developing the new labels, I adopted a simplicity-oriented approach, with meticulously crafted vector illustrations to add a touch of visual interest. The clean and modern design aligns perfectly with the renewed corporate identity.

Focus: One of the most challenging tasks was reconstructing the two lions present in the logo. The company didn't have digital files or detailed prints of these elements. I approached this challenge with creativity and dedication, starting from an image of an old, crumpled, and barely legible label. The result was a successful reinterpretation of the lions that preserved their distinctive character.
The labels, on the other hand, were created in collaboration with Pierluigi Giglio.
