The following photo series was started in 2009 and has been continued since then. The latest pictures have been taken justa couple of weeks weeks ago in the pacific Northwest of the USA. The photo series shows common small town architecture in the USA with the mark of the economic crisis. The images reflect the gap between American dream and the economic reality, they display the blending of resignation and hope, desperation and national pride. The continuous fade-away of the lower middle-class has been an emphazised problem in the recent presidential election campaign in the USA. But the issue keeps becoming more and more important in Eurpean countries as well, especially in the course of the Euro Crisis. Read Less
