Auckland Art and Craft Fair

This brief let me choose a not-for-profit organisation and I then developed a design solution for them that supported their purpose. Any output was acceptable, as long as it made sense to the organisation.
I chose Auckland Art and Craft fair because anything craft related is a huge passion of mine and I love supporting fellow crafters. What better way to do that than Auckland Art and Craft fair?
They're an existing event held in the city by Auckland Craft Collective. Frankie is one of their main sponsors and being a die hard Frankie fan, I used my small collection of issues as research. As well as blogs.
I found that the existing branding for the event was lacking in a crafty look and/or feel.
It wasn't quirky in a way that the craft community is.
After looking through my magazine collection I analysed that pattern on pattern was a great reoccurring theme as well as "dorky" illustrations and hand rendered type. These were just the main
aspects behind my final design.
In the end I put together an event poster, a logo for the event, a t-shirt for those working at the fair, a notebook to be given out to shoppers/supports, I also made a little rosette for the vendors to take home in memoir of the weekend. Also pictured is a sample of some bunting that I designed. I've used it on the notebook cover as well as the blog and facebook page for Auckland Art and Craft Fair.
