FUNKY VISUALIZATION CONTEST 2011 | ADVANCED MOVEMENT
"Can you see the future? Let our 2011 Student Competition inspire you to try!" The Munich-based visualization experts at RTT highlighted the importance of progress and technological innovation in their annual student competitions, asking “What will the world be like in 2020?” RTT posed this question to the “specialists of tomorrow” in the RTT Funky Visualization Contest. This year a jury of experts honored the best and most innovative ideas and creative concepts among the submitted entries. Teodor Kyuchukov - Dorteo – the author of the Automotive Lighting Sculpture concept was honored with the People’s Choice Award for his Atolla ABLS Concpet among the other winners and earned the opportunity to present his project to an international audience of professionals at RTT Excite 2011 in May.
Background
At the end of 2005 Teodor Kyuchukov started a project development entitled "A'KIMONO", which aimed to present the concept of automotive exterior lighting. It was awarded at the Desire Design Contest 2007, organized by Domus Academy and Style Bertone. A year later a new evolutionary design called Audi A'KIMONO LS2.0 was launched and few months after it was finished, the project received wide public appearance with its original concept of “Automotive Lighting Sculpture” in the face of the leading Italian online resource for automotive design CarBodyDesign. Then a few publications in a number of other web sites, newspapers and magazines followed. In early 2009 Teodor completed AUDIBLEYES ALS – The Eyes of Audi - a new design concept which received the special prize in the Second Edition of Desire Design Contest 2009, organized by Domus Academy and Audi. In 2010 five years passed since the birth of the Automotive Lighting Sculpture concept. More information, videos and pictures at www.dorteo.com.
