For our Major Final Project we wereasked to write our own brief.
I chose to design my show around my fear of living in Portlaoise for the rest of my life. I used a book and double exposure portraits to show the people that are trapped there. My end of year show is entitled ‘Asphodel Meadows’. ‘Asphodel Meadows’ is being used as a metaphor for Portlaoise as it described in Greek Mythology as an even less perfect version of life on earth and is part of Hades.
