Asmāʾu al-husnā means the names of Allah. They are 99 names altogether in the Quran and here are some of them I created in both photoshop and illustrator with translation. The full 99 names are posted on my blog www.wsheikh.com. They were posted during the month of Ramadan when muslims around the world fast. I created around 3 per day.
Photography: This was shot during my trip to Alhambra, Spain last year. "Calat Alhambra, is a fortress located in Granada. The Alhambra's Moorish palaces were built for the last Muslim Emirs in Spain being one of the very first mosques ever. Alhambra was "discovered" in the 19th century by European scholars and travelers. It is now one of Spain's major tourist attractions, exhibiting the country's most significant and well known Islamic architecture"
Typography: The typeface is Optima and the Arabic typography used is custom brushes created in illustrator.
