Asgaard is based on extensive research into a unique Danish design phenomenon within typeface design and lettering of the 20. century. The intention was to create a distinct contemporary and functional typeface while still incorporating traditional influences and features.
To achieve great legibility the design paid much attention to features such as: large x-height, open counters, tiny serifs, slightly rounded corners, square terminals as well as inktraps.
