Artserve is a leading statewide arts and cultural advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening communities by positioning arts, culture and arts education in Michigan. Pixels are described as the most basic unit of an image displayed on a computer or television screen or on a printer. This is a great image to describe Artserve; they help create the big picture (that is the art community in Michigan). They are very much in the background, they might not create any programs themselves but they make it possible for others to do so.
