Artisan Series / Analogue Cameras Repairmen

Laboratory Journey
This is a journey into the laboratory of Gianpaolo and his son Enrico. Both are specialized on repairing analog cameras. Gianpaolo also was the inventor of a ring camera; the first series of GF micro camera was made in 1981, numbered 1 to 20, and additional series numbered up to 53 were made from 1983-1987. The final series, the GF84, consists of thirty-two black anodized cameras from 54-85 and twenty-two gold-plated cameras. The new series featured refinements to the camera and improved production techniques in the fifty-one assembled components. GF84 sold at Christie's for over $7000 in 2003.
Now, with the advent of digital era, operations on the new generation cameras are limited but despite this Giampaolo and Enrico remain the reference point for those still using analogue equipment and for those who plan to modify or restore their old loved analogue cameras.
