Art and sculpture studio 'Futura'
Lungarno delle Grazie 22, Florence, Italy
The project represents a study and proposal for the interior design of the Art and Sculpture
Studio situated in Lungarno delle Grazie 22, Florence, Italy.

The part being treated for the project is the third floor where the Accademia Italiana workshop is
located in the presence. The whole floor is to be considered and it should contain workshops for
art and sculpture, exhibition areas, an office, reception and waiting area as well as an Art cafe and
library, where people can read books about art and sculptures through history while having a coffee
in the comfortable seats of the cafe. The focus is on three rooms loacated on this
floor and technical information and drawings are developed as well as 3D presentation for these rooms.

The purpose of this project is to create a dynamic space with a sense of movement throughout the
whole floor with the inspiration taken from the Italian movement Futurism, especially the famous
Futurist, Umberto Boccioni, and kinetic sculptures. Taking its cue from the themes celebrated by
Futurism – from speed to technology, from simultaneity to the dynamism of the metropolis, from
audacity to rebellion to scandal, the Art and Sculpture Studio should have a strong positive impact
on the people entering this area and a strong motivational impact on the artists and sculpturers that
work inside this place.
