RNNG FRM STNS is a personal project that I developed over the course of two years. It goes without saying that my work is intimate, but to further highlight the emotional intensity from which these works were produced will prepare the observer for a snapshot of memory that I have interpreted through pencil and paper. The journey begins against the backdrop of a defeated Los Angeles, the city from which I was born, and continues along a concrete path of close encounters and abstract sensations that all lead to one Exit; liberation through exploration.

Pictures can be staged. Images can be beautiful. And memories can be created. Through my art I wish to reveal to the observer a purposeful, aesthetic experience. Every line, no matter how reckless, to every bold stroke of red is predetermined, even in a flight of creative spontaneity. Intimacy is achieved the closer I, the artist, approach true artistic expression. My work is a snapshot of the human mind at work, after hours. As you are busy to decipher it I am busy interpreting my mind - rummaging through crates upon crates of abstract impressions.

The work in their order of appearance:

Read as Poem
"Audacious to a leaf escaping an autumn wind"
Red is a color that recurs throughout much of my artwork. More recent work has seen the color more frequently, usually inhabiting an unoccupied space of the page. Is it to distract the observer or illuminate a concealed message?

The work in their order of appearance:

It Was Kismet
"Dare I say a rage of passion could not turn more violet"
Many times I begin a piece with the honest intentions of carrying out whatever image I had created in my mind. It is when the pencil turns brave and I become fatigued when the art becomes successful.
