According to forecasts of the Polish Association of Human Resources Management, in 2013 unemployment rate in Poland among graduate students will exceed 30 per cent. The problem of youth employment is a challenge not only to Poland but to whole European Union. In Greece and Spain, youth unemployment exceeds 50 per cent. A reason for that situation is not only the global economic downturn, but also graduates inadequacy of competence to the market requirements. That unfavourable situation of students can be caused by delayed entry into professional life.

The subject of Master’s degree work is an architectural design of multipurpose building located on Wenecjanska 5 Street in Poznan. The building is located in the Chwaliszewo district, close to neighborhood of Warta River and Old City Centre. Urban design contains land development of Warta River old arm.
