Typography Research project; differences between the east and west, Arabic and Latin are being assessed, and reasons/causes to this gap. Also comparing separately their characters, languages and scripts. The difference between calligraphy and typography is highlighted and the importance of the availability of flexible typography is explained due to our current booming digital era. Thoroughly, problems and suggested solutions (mainly harmonization/simplification) are explained. Real examples and case studies are reviewed (including fonts, logos and other applications), in order to assess what has already been tackled in this topic. Finally, answers to the research questions are derived and a concluded area of research has been discovered where no research has yet hit, and limitations of these previous researches are now known to be avoided in future research.
