Brand identity design for English-Arabic translator Katherine Osgood. We focused on designing the logo with two approaches:
(1) To design a unique Latin-styled Arabic calligraphic composition of her name 'Katherine' كااثرين. This is a unique script style which uses a very distinctive cursive style more commonly found in western type design. The mix of Latin style and Arabic wording is to represent the clients profession (ِEnglish translator of Arabic).
(2) The second logo design is intended to be used as purely a transliterated ident, more commonly used on stationery and other marketing material. It is a custom-developed typeface in Arabic that is intended to match the latin font AT Rotis Semi Sans.
