Apollo's Got The Swag
The Apollo Belvedere marble sculpture was one of the most praised ancient statues by neoclassicists during the 18th century. Apollo is depicted just after releasing a deadly arrow, and although towards whom the arrow was released remains a mystery, it is believed that the being was either Python, the serpent that has been guarding Delphi, or giant Tityos.
My first encounter with it was through the Janson's History of Art book, and to me it simply radiated with some ridiculous amount of swagger. This poster represents that impression.
