Promotional material, merch & live visuals for a D&B night in southern Austria on the notorious date December 21, 2012 - no need to mention that the theme of the artwork was to be based on mayan symbols.

But to be adding a little depth to the whole concept, the background consists of the mayan runes used to depict this exact date in the mesoamerican long count calendar (13.0.0.0.0), as well as the mayan secular and mythical calendar. The last rune on the lower right depicts the mayan lord associated with the moon phase, all arranged as they would have been on a mayan stela depicting a date. All symbols were thouroughly researched and redesigned to fit my own style, before I drew them out in Ai.
