Over the last 50 years, human race has evolved into a global society. We have made enormous technological achievements, but at the same time we have neglected our planet in a way beyond repair, due to the contaminating lifestyle of the cities. Population has changed as well, the youth is decreasing and the elderly population is increasing more and more, that is the reason why our generation has been assigned the responsibility of saving the world, this is why we are trying to increase life quality, by using cutting-edge technology, specialized in helping the elderly with their health issues. Our concept is a droid able of taking care of the elder person, becoming a companion, a friend, and a guardian angel.
Angela is formed by two droids (alpha & beta) that will watch the health of the elder person, they will keep in touch with the user’s medications, as well as reading blood pressure and sugar levels, drug administration (needleless injection) and general check-ups.
The current “mega-trends” point towards health care and welfare, so, the idea of a medical personal assistant will be vital in the nearest future, nowadays we live in a hostile environment, everyday new diseases and infections spread, threatening our wellbeing, leaving the elderly more vulnerable to this affections.
Society has become more individualist in the last decade, now is very common to see a machine taking the place of a person to do a certain job, human contact will be less frequent everyday, so having someone or something that helps you keep your health without having to leave your home, will be a necessity sooner than most people think.
