Ocean Discovery Institute – Capital Campaign
- A photographer friend and I approached Ocean Discovery Institute to help them develop a capital campaign brochure for raising funds for a new learning facility called The Living Lab. The effort was done pro-bono.
The larger book is designed to be reused and acts as a look book and case study on three students for each of the three levels of students that the group works with and how their lives have been positively impacted. Each alternating spread was designed to show students working together. A single word corresponds to the sections in the smaller book.
The smaller book contains more specific data and information about the program, the living lab, and the organizations future impact on San Diego. It is meant to be reprinted as information is updated in order to
be more cost effective than reprinting the entire kit. The small book hugs the larger book with a die cut slit and tab system.
Overall, the concept was to develop a tool for the organization to use in raising funds and as an informative piece about the programs available. It was designed to work together or as separate pieces and still be
engaging and difficult to ignore if it came across your desk.Photography – Lowell Tindell
