David Murray drew inspiration from the unlikely marriage of New York City’s youth cultures infused with Wall Street’s tailoring to create a collection designed for everyday wear in a dynamic urban environment. For his collection, he has created an archetype – a Wall Street business man, although a kind of business man who exchanges the traditional trappings of his profession in favour of something a little more unusual; an alternative individual in corporate America who would rather skate over the Brooklyn Bridge than network with his monotonous Wall Street acquaintances.
