Route guide redesign
My goals for the redesign were to streamline the presentation of their three rail routes and connecting bus lines. Their current guide lacks organization and it is difficult to see where their connecting bus lines meet the rail lines. My solution was stacking color coded spheres, where the color corresponds to the rail line or bus. Also included on the map element is a guide to points of interest with several prominent points of interest getting their own icon on the map. The pamphlets can be printed cheaply and in high volumes making it a feasible component to their existing on-board literature. In addition to its high print value, the QR code on the back of pamphlet allows any patron with unanswered questions to quickly connect to the Amtrak site!
