Amazon Development team in Cape Town required a stand to use a recruitment platform for their Cape Town based web development division. We were approached by Pulling Rabbits to collaborate on a suitable exhibit.
Our thoughts immediately gravitated away from traditional corporate displays, which tend to be clinical and very much orientated towards "suit and tie" interaction. As this was very definitely not the modus of the web dev team we looked at a far more sensory stand, which combined a variety of finishes. These include the use of Raw X-Board, Vinyl Coated X-Board, Corduroy Beanbags, Particle Board flooring and then added more traditional finishes such as full colour prints. All of these combined to create a unique exhibit (and one of my favourites in its category)
The stand is comfortable and relaxed yet still conveys a strong corporate message in a way that will not alienate the intended audience.
The exhibit is design to be modular so can be used in a variety of configurations ranging from 2m x 1m, 3m x 3m and right up to a 6m x 1m. The nature of it also lends itself towards expansion and easy replacement of any parts.
Thoroughly enjoyed working on this project. It was used at PyconZA recently and was very well received by all delegates. Kudos to Amazons Cape Town Web Dev team for allowing freedom to design on this project!
