- Amazon Product Page: Redesign
- This is a redesign of the Amazon product page for a book, that I did as part of my Master's degree. I mostly focused on the contents of the page rather than the global UI elements, such as the search box, main navigation and the footer. You can check out the original product page I based my redesign on.
- FormatsI also completely redesigned the "Formats" box and made icons to depict each kind of format that the book may be available in. I combined that with a couple of other sections that were related to prices and formats, and saved quite a bit of space. The icons also make it a little more enticing to check out the different formats. The live version of the page could have tooltips for each icon as you hover over it, to display the format name.
- TabsI grouped similar information into tabbed boxes. For example, all of the cross-sell and upsell products ("Customers also bought," "Frequently bought together," etc.) are in one box with tabs for each section. The tabs may cycle through every 15 seconds or so, to give the user a preview of what is on each tab, without taking as much vertical space as those products would if they were all displayed at once.
I also reduced the amount of space that the "Reviews" section takes up by limiting each review to 4 lines, instead of displaying a complete, multi-page review, and added a "keep reading" link.
