Al’s Cafe has been a part of Elgin’s history for over 70 years, A place that was once thriving started bringing in a slower crowd after the expansion of Randall Rd brought popular chain restaurants to the community. They’ve suffered from having an inconsistent and unwelcoming identity system. To help Al’s thrive in Elgin one again, I have repositioned Al’s to be targeted at families and kids, so that younger audiences can experience the quality food and community feel that Al’s has to offer.
