In 1989, Nike moved into the outdoor market, launching their ACG (All Conditions Gear) division. The collections are developed in conjunction with a team of athletes and mountain guides, who help design the collection – testing them in training and expeditions, reporting back to Nike’s lab.
The products are produced to also appeal to everyday athletes who depend on their garments to handle the rigors of trail and stream. The designers continue producing cutting edge styling and performance in innovative apparel. Utilizing their R&D department to best effect, they continue to produce styles that offer the very latest technology in super limited quantities.
