إنهم كالأصنام واقفون، عاجزين عن النطق، عن الفعل أو حتى عن التذمر، حالهم كحال الكثيريين منا.. نرى بلا أعين وننطق بلا لسان، منتظريين سقوط المطر بكل ألوانه حتى وإن كان مصحوباً بالموت

They stand like idols, unable to speak, unable to move and unable even to complain. They are like many of us, seeing without eyes and speaking without a tongue. waiting for the rain to fall, with all its colours, even if it is accompanied by death.
