An identity design for an exclusive chain of bookstores opening in some of the world’s largest international airports. The store will cater to the occasional and frequent traveller. A place where one can spend hours perusing the shelves or minutes purchasing a last minute gift for a loved one.
The outcome focuses on wisdom and age. Books are a form that has been around for centuries and they hold stories much like a traveller does. The image of a tree was chosen for the logo as a symbol of knowledge. The birds used as support graphics symbolise the nature of travel, they may go many places but always return home, much like travellers to Orwell’s. To complete the identity small breaks were made in the logotype to further reinforce the stop-start nature of travel.
