Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Store, 135 Wooster St. New York Project: Castel Veciana Arquitectura.Architect: Matteo Colombo.
The store, located in New York's Soho is concieved as a giant kaleidoscope, a colour tunnel than enfasizes the long and narrow space of the store. Once passed the threshold the colours strips invades floor, walls and ceilings, overlapping to existing materials, like the brickwall and pipes.
A back-lit giant white canvas, signed by the designer is the backdrop for the rail that carries the designer's clothes collections.
A long white monolith counter, that opens to reveal the brand's bright colours, divides the space and displays objects and accessories of the widest range.
A giant mirror clads the back wall, giving the illusion of a never ending store and disguising the shop's warehouse.
