Compositing 3D RendersThis was a tutorial on Digital Tutors for Compositing 3D Renders in After Effects. This was a lengthy process for a single image, but it looks natural, and that's exactly what we were going for!
Through the use of various masking and color correcting techniques it went from a shiny 3D model, to a picture of an Orange Mustang, with all the correct lighting, reflections, and shadows.
The main effects and techniques used were: Color Correct, Masks, Pre-comps, and Alpha mattes.
The outcome looks like a picture of this vehicle, but view the movie and still images to see how it really came to be this way.
