The annual contest to design the cover of Ad Age's Global Issue drew 369 entries from 54 countries. The winner and 18 finalists has been displayed on billboards at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France.
Nowadays, the world has become a big playground for brands. Everyone is trying to conquer the maximum of market share throughout different strategies : advertising, guerrilla marketing, social medias and so on.
We choose to illustrate this by an ironical way, using an old print showing Napoleon and his colonels preparing plans on an old map. We replaced all their faces by brand characters and integrated brand logos.
